Hugh has nearly 40 years’ experience of managing small works, maintenance, and construction projects at Director level. Working for many Housing Associations over the years has provided a comprehensive insight into the challenges of providing a viable, reliable quality service.

Hugh’s interest is now in assisting in the provision of construction management know how in the form of consultancy. This is to allow Housing Associations to carry out maintenance and repairs, and combining this with a strong social care element to assist with local issues around barriers to work, training, employability skills, and nurturing community spirit within challenging areas.

The objective of Futures Training is to combine the cultures of a construction company and a housing association in a consultancy partnership that is operationally beneficial to the housing association and socially beneficial to the community. By sharing skill-sets, working practices, experience and knowledge.
